1. Made of high-purity aluminum for excellent electrical conductivity and low contact resistance
2. Precision crimping barrel design ensures secure mechanical fixation and stable connection
3. Anti-oxidation surface treatment provides long-term corrosion resistance in harsh environments
4. Lightweight construction reduces overall system weight and material costs
5. Compliant with IEC standards and ISO 9001 certified for consistent quality
6. Suitable for both low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical applications
Follow these key steps to choose the right aluminum cable lugs for your project:
1. Match Conductor Size
Select the lug size that exactly matches your aluminum conductor cross-section (e.g., 16mm², 95mm², 240mm², 630mm²) to ensure maximum contact area and avoid overheating.
2. Confirm Voltage & Application
Choose LV-rated lugs for distribution panels and building wiring; opt for MV-rated lugs for overhead lines, transformers, and substations requiring higher mechanical strength.
3. Check Bolt Hole Size
Match the lug’s hole diameter to the terminal bolt size (M6/M8/M10/M12) for a secure fit and to prevent loosening under vibration or load changes.
4. Consider Working Environment
For outdoor, coastal, or high-moisture locations, select lugs with enhanced anti-corrosion surface treatment to extend service life.
| Application Fields | Detailed Usage Scenarios |
|---|---|
| Power Distribution Systems | LV/MV distribution panels, switchgear cabinets, main distribution boxes |
| Overhead Power Lines | Overhead line terminations, pole connections, utility network projects |
| Transformer Stations | Step-up & step-down transformer connections, busbar terminations |
| Grounding Systems | Equipment grounding, lightning protection, earthing connections |
| Industrial Electrical Installations | Motor control centers, industrial machinery, power plant auxiliary systems |
Main types: compression type (crimp lugs), bolted type, long barrel type, short barrel type, single-hole /double-hole lugs. Compression lugs are the most widely used for general electrical projects.
Yes. Aluminum easily forms an oxide layer with high resistance. Remove oxide film, dust and grease on cable strands and lug inner wall before crimping.
Not recommended for direct use. Copper and aluminum produce galvanic corrosion under current and moisture, leading to loose contact, overheating and safety hazards. Use bi-metal (copper-aluminum) lugs instead.
1、Material & cost: Aluminum is lighter and cheaper; copper has better conductivity.
2、Application: Aluminum lugs match aluminum cables; direct copper-aluminum connection easily causes galvanic corrosion.
3、Weight: Aluminum lugs are much lighter, ideal for long-distance overhead lines.
